Day 1: Check into your accommodation and enjoy a free afternoon in Cairns city – we suggest taking a dip at the local Cairns ‘lagoon’ or visiting the local botanic gardens and taking in the night markets before dinner.

Day 2: Visit the Great Barrier Reef on modern catamaran. You will have 5 hours at the Great Barrier Reef to view spectacular coral formations and abundant colourful marine life. Guided snorkelling tours are also included in your trip if you wish to learn and see more of the marine wildlife. Morning/Afternoon tea and buffet lunch is included, and scuba diving is available for an additional cost.

Day 3: Visit Kuranda "The Village in the Rainforest" and see the famous markets. You will travel via the award winning Skyrail and return on the scenic train. Your package includes a bus pick up from your Cairns hotel, one-way skyrail ticket to Kuranda and one way train ticket back to Cairns city.

Day 4: Today you will visit Daintree & Cape Tribulation, where the world’s oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. Nowhere else on earth do two natural World Heritage listed sites exist side by side. Commence the adventure with a scenic coastal drive from Cairns to Port Douglas. This is the far north’s very own great ocean road that provides panoramic views over the sparkling Coral Sea.

Your first stop is at Mossman Gorge, taking a guided walk with the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim in the cascading waters. Continuing north we cross the mighty Daintree River and head to Cape Tribulation for lunch. After lunch, it’s time to explore this ancient rainforest environment on a guided tour of the Marrdja Botanical Boardwalk.

You will finish your day with a photo opportunity at the Alexandra Range lookout and a wildlife cruise on the Daintree River where you might get to see a crocodile, while learning about the fragile ecosystem of this impressive serpent-like river system.

Day 5: Discover through the Wet Tropics rainforests of the Atherton Tablelands and Wooroonooran National Park, visiting must-see attractions including Lake Barrine, Milla Milla Falls, the Curtain Fig Tree and of course, historic Paronella Park.

Travel with accredited, expert guides that give insights into this unique part of the world, including its Aboriginal cultural history and ancient plant and animal life. This history is evident first-hand at Lake Barrine’s 1000-year-old twin Kauri Pines, while our guides give you every chance to spy our at-times shy native wildlife, such as the endemic Lumholtz’s tree-kangaroo and ancient musky rat-kangaroo.

Stop for a swim at Milla Milla Falls, and take in sweeping views of Wooroonooran National Park and the North Johnstone River valley from Crawfords Lookout.

Revel in the history and tranquillity of Paronella Park, a guided tour revealing the romantic story behind this Spanish castle and sprawling tropical gardens, before we take time to pause, unwind and explore its grounds. Lunch and morning tea included.
