Aboriginal guides explore Kuku Yalanji country, the only place where two world heritage sites meet, the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef and share the cultural connection the people have with their land. Learn about the environment, different bush foods and medicines. Sample some seasonal bush tucker while appreciating the history, culture, and traditions of our Australian Aboriginal people.


In order to provide more personalised tours, we operate each tour with a minimum of 2 passengers and a maximum of 11 passengers. Walkabout Cultural Adventures is 100% Aboriginal owned and operated.

 

NGANA JULAYMBA DUNGAY: We All Going Daintree

We all going Daintree tours are based around the Mossman, Mossman Gorge, coastal habitats & the Daintree river area. Discover the Kuku Yalanji people's environment, learn about different foods and medicines utilized from nature, sample some bush tucker, collect shellfish and try traditional Aboriginal hunting practices. Have a go at boomerang and spear throwing and if you are lucky, catch a mud crab. Take a guided rainforest walk through the southern Daintree rainforest and visit the Mossman Gorge.

 

NGANA KULKINGA DUNGAY: We All Going Cape Tribulation

We All Going Cape Tribulation tours travel north of the Daintree river and explores the Daintree rainforest and environment around Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef.
Learn about how these unique environments come together and how the local Kuku Yalanji utilised and managed the natural resources. Sample some seasonal bush tucker, learn bush medicines, take a guided rainforest walk, while appreciating the history, culture and traditions of our Australian Aboriginal people.

Pick ups from Port Douglas, Mossman and Daintree Village are included in the tour price. Private transfers can be arrange from Cairns for additional cost.
