Private Boat Charter - MONS

This is an affordable luxurious charter vessel operating tailored itineraries for up to 12 guests to idyllic destinations on the northern Great Barrier Reef from Port Douglas.  Itineraries can include snorkelling or diving on the Great Barrier Reef, relaxing on the beach at your own sand cay & visiting the Low Isles & much more. The rates include the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park fees and fishing adventures.  Your charter will include professional crew, the full use of boat facilities, all snorkelling equipment, lycra suits, flotation devices, light tackle/sport fishing gear, gourmet lunch and non-alcoholic beverages.

Vessel Specifications:

Commissioned in 2004, the boat is a 54 ft classic modern style.  She is built for comfort featuring the latest in marine design.  Cruising at 15 knots with a spacious main saloon and comfortable aft deck.

The vessel departs from The Reef Marina, Port Douglas at 8.15am and returns at approximately 4.15 pm.

For those wanting an overnight trip, there is a master suite and two twin share cabins sleeping up to 6 guests.  Please enquire for overnight prices.

EXAMPLE ITINERARY:

8:00am - Arrival and Boarding at The Reef Marina, Port Douglas. Make yourself at home on your boat for the day.

8.15am Departure - Enjoy a light morning tea while MV Monsoon heads off into the blue horizon, motoring comfortably to your first destination.

9:00 - 11:00 am - Arrival to your first reef site for snorkelling, exploration or fishing. The crew will have you in the water in no time, being captivated by the exhilarating and magical underwater world. Low Isles is an idyllic tropical coral cay with coral gardens, diverse marine life and plenty of friendly turtles. Should you prefer to be catching your fish, we will take you to one of our favourite fishing spots, perhaps a bommie off Snapper Island or off a wreck further north, to kick off the day.

12:30 - 2:00 pm - Al fresco lunch is served, with fresh gourmet salads and chilled seafood platters served with non alcoholic beverages (alcoholic beverages may be supplied on a BYO basis).  Your skipper may motor to your next destination while you enjoy lunch and the panoramic view on the flybridge. Ahhh this is the life!

2.00 pm - It's time to get back in the water to while away the afternoon snorkelling, drift diving, island exploring or hook another big one at your second destination for the day. Enjoy the reef wholeheartedly before settling back into the comfort of the boat for a cruise home while the sun starts descending behind the mountain ranges.

4.15 pm - Approximate arrival back at The Reef Marina, Port Douglas, armed with sunkisses, fishies, happy snaps and unforgettable memories....

Terms and Conditions:

DEPOSIT
A 20% deposit is required to finalise and confirm your reservation.
The balance of fees is due 30 days prior to the charter departure date. Payments made with a
credit card will incur a fee of up to 1.5% VISA, MASTERCARD or AMEX.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
Should a charter be cancelled, the 10% deposit is forfeited.
Should a charter be cancelled within 72 hours of departure, the full charter cost is forfeited.

Peak rates apply for all Australian Public Holidays e.g. Good Friday through to Easter Monday, and December 24th through to January 2nd inclusive.

Day Charter Rate is for off peak periods and a set rate.  Diving is at extra cost - please enquire for prices.  Overnight charters - price on request.

We can arrange private transfers (for an additional fee) for guests from Cairns to Port Douglas if guests are based in Cairns
