Join us on our 7 Day Cape York Safari - Drive/Fly with the choice of budget or standard accommodation. The "budget accommodated" option provides 2 nights with ensuite facilities and 4 nights with shared bathrooms. The "accommodated" option, provides all 6 nights with ensuite facilities.
Your 4WD journey will show you amazing scenery, wilderness and outback QLD. Visit places such as Cooktown, Lakefield National Park, Weipa, Thursday Island and "The Tip" of Australia.
Then board your aircraft at Horn Island for your flight back to Cairns. A true Australian experience that will create memories of a lifetime. Please note this tour takes a maximum of 25 passengers.

Drive/Fly Itinerary
Day 1 Cairns to Cooktown (LD)
After an early morning pick up from your accommodation your adventure begins. Travelling north along the scenic Captain Cook Highway, through the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. Then making our way along the jungle shrouded Bloomfield Track (road conditions permitted), stopping off at the unique Lion's Den Hotel, and the mysterious Black Mountain, arriving at the old gold port of Cooktown. Visit Captain Cooks Landing and Grassy Hill Lookout. Overnight accommodation at Cooktown. (Ensuite facilities for both "budget" and "accommodated")
Day 2 Cooktown to Lakefield NP & Musgrave (BLD)
Heading west into the outback, we travel over the legendary Battle Camp Range to the Old Laura Homestead and Lakefield National Park (road conditons permitting). An amalgamation of 3 huge cattle stations, now a haven for the many birds and animals native to this area. Lagoons, billabongs, and wide river lakes are home to both fresh and saltwater crocodiles. The afternoon finds us arriving at the old Musgrave Telegraph station. (share facilities for "budget" , ensuite facilities for "accommodated")
Day 3 Musgrave to Coen, Archer River & Weipa (BLD)
After a leisurely morning, we continue north stopping off at the historic frontier gold town of Coen and the picturesque Archer River, before making our way to the bauxite-mining town of Weipa. Enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Gulf of Carpentaria. Overnight accommodation at the Heritage Resort (ensuite facilities for both "budget" and "accommodated").
Day 4 Weipa to Bramwell Station (BD)
This morning you may wish to take an informative tour of the Weipa mining operation (own expense) or just relax by the pool. After lunch, we head for our overnight permanent camp site at a true blue Aussie cattle station, Bramwell Station. (share facilities for "budget" , ensuite facilities for "accommodated")
Day 5 Bramwell to Fruit Bat Falls & Cape York (BLD)
After an early start, we head north travelling along part of the Old Telegraph Track to arrive at Fruit Bat Falls for lunch. Relax, swim, and enjoy this unique area with its enchanting waterfall. Then northwards across the Jardine River, to arrive at Cape York! We will be staying at Seisia. Seisia is ideally located for our next few days, being in walking distance from the Seisia Wharf, the departure point for the ferry to Thursday Island and a famous fishing spot. We stay in lodge accommodation at Seisia Holiday Park. (share facilities for "budget" , ensuite facilities for "accommodated")
Day 6 Cape York to Somerset (BLD)
An unforgettable day! Stand at the very top of mainland Australia. We then visit Somerset (road conditions permitting), once the home of the legendary Jardine family and lunch on palm fringed Anchorage Beach which overlooks the Albany Passage. A walk on the beach completes your day before returning to base. (share facilities for "budget" , ensuite facilities for "accommodated")
Day 7 Seisia, Thursday Island, Cairns (B)
An early morning departure as we cruise through island studded straits to explore our northern community, Thursday Island. Here you will be taken on a informative guided bus tour of the island and its picturesque Harbour, once home to the romantic pearl lugger fleet. Then board your plane at Horn Island for a scenic flight back to Cairns. ETA to be advised.
OPTIONAL - DAY 8
Day 8 Optional Addon - Horn Island (BLD) - please enquire for cost
You will have the option to stay an extra day at Horn Island. Dinner included on day 7. This day includes a tour of Horn Island, entry to the Torres Strait Heritage Museum. You will stay the night at the Gateway Torres Strait Resort at Horn Island. Late afternoon you board your plane at Horn Island for a scenic flight back to Cairns. ETA to be advised. Does not include airport transfer to Cairns accommodation.

DEPOSIT: A non refundable deposit of $700 per person is required with booking. For booking tours that are departing in less then 90 days, full and immediate payment is required.
FINAL PAYMENT: Final payment is due no later then 90 days prior to departure.
CANCELLATION FEES
- Bookings cancelled more than 90 days prior to tour departure - loss of deposit paid.
- Cancellation between 90 and 60 days prior to tour departure - 50% cancellation fee of total tour cost.
- Cancellation between 59 and 31 days prior to tour departure - 75% cancellation fee of total tour cost.
- Cancellation 30 days and less prior to tour departure - 100% cancellation fee of total tour cost.
