Itinerary:
Travel across the Great Dividing Range on one of Tropical North Queensland’s most scenic drives, passing sugar cane farms, winding rivers, and views of Walsh’s Pyramid, before entering the lush Wet Tropics Rainforest. In Wooroonooran National Park, enjoy a guided rainforest walk to the beautiful Josephine Falls, where you’ll learn about native flora, fauna, and Indigenous culture, with the option for a refreshing swim.
Continue through the Cassowary Coast, stopping in the Art Deco town of Innisfail before heading to the Goondoi Wetlands for an authentic cultural experience with Traditional Custodians. Here, enjoy a Welcome to Country, storytelling, and insights into bush tucker, traditional practices, and Dreamtime connections.
Journey on to Etty Bay, a hidden gem where the rainforest meets the reef, offering the chance to spot cassowaries along the beach. Finish the day at Babinda Boulders, where you can relax or swim in a stunning rainforest setting, while learning about local legends and cultural significance, before returning to Cairns.
