Stop 1: Skybury Coffee Plantation – Morning Tea
Visit Skybury Coffee Plantation for a relaxing morning tea. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee or tea with a light snack such as scones with jam and cream, along with tropical fruits—all while taking in sweeping views from the balcony.
Stop 2: Chillagoe-Mungana Caves National Park – Guided Tour
Explore the ancient landscapes of Chillagoe-Mungana Caves National Park with a knowledgeable local ranger guide. Discover fossilised coral reefs dating back 400–420 million years and wander through stunning limestone cave systems—remnants of an ancient inland sea that once mirrored today’s Great Barrier Reef.
Stop 3: Chillagoe Smelter Ruins – Heritage Experience
Step into history at the Chillagoe Smelter Ruins. These towering remnants of early 20th-century copper smelting operations offer a fascinating glimpse into the region’s industrial past.
Stop 4: Lunch at Chillagoe Hotel

Stop 6: Aboriginal Rock Art & Dreamtime Stories
Gain insight into Indigenous culture as you view ancient Aboriginal rock art and hear captivating Dreamtime stories that bring the landscape to life.
Stop 7: Granite Gorge – Wallaby Encounter
